L'équipe Sainte-Mesme: Vainqueur de l'Open du Soleil pour son premier tournoi au Polo Club Saint-Tropez!

Après 10 jours de matchs, le total des points de ce tournoi désigne l’équipe Sainte-Mesme, au handicap de 12, comme vainqueur de l’Open du Soleil 2008 !

Six équipes étaient en compétition pour ce titre mais c’est celle qui joue pour la première fois au Polo Club Saint-Tropez qui le remporte, en devançant F Polo Team de peu.
De quoi donner envie à Birger Strom, Robert Strom, Christian NordHeimer et Marcelo Amadeo Y Videla, joueurs de Sainte-Mesme, de revenir très vite disputer un match au Polo Club Saint-Tropez!

After 10 days, the winner of the 2008 Open du Soleil is...Sainte-Mesme Team (hcp 12)!
Six teams were in competition but it is finally the one who plays at the Polo Club Saint-Tropez for the first time who rewards the tournament and lets F Polo Team 2nd on the podium.

Birger Strom, Robert Strom, Christian NordHeimer et Marcelo Amadeo Y Videla, players of Sainte-Mesme, have certainly appreciated to play at the Polo Club Saint-Tropez!

Open du Soleil, du 21 au 31 Août

Du 21 au 31 Août, le Polo Club Saint-Tropez donne rendez-vous à 6 équipes de Polo (niveau 8/12 goals) à l'occasion de l'Open du Soleil 2008.
L'équipe fidèle Wasabi (Pays-Bas), l'équipe gagnante du précedent tournoi F Polo Team (Pakistan), l'équipe locale Saint-Tropez (Allemagne), une nouvelle équipe Saint-Mesme (France), LGT (Royaume-Uni) et Tres Maria/Santa Helena (Italie) participent à cet évènement de Polo...sous le soleil de Saint-Tropez!

Les matchs de qualification ont lieu tous les jours du 21 au 29 Août, à partir de 17h.
Les Demi-finales le 30 Août à partir de 17h et les Finales dimanche 31 Août dès 17h suivies de la remise des prix à 19h30 et du traditionnel cocktail.

From the 21st to the 31st of August the Polo Club Saint-Tropez welcomes 6 Polo teams (8/12 goals level) for the 2008 Open de Soleil.
The faithful team Wasabi (Netherlands), the last tournament Winner team F Polo Team (Pakistan), the local team Saint-Tropez (Germany), a new team Saint-Mesme (France), LGT (UK) and Tres Maria/Santa Helena (Italy). They all play during this Polo event...under the sun of Saint-Tropez!

The qualification matches take place every day from the 21st to the 29th of August, at 5 pm.
Semi-finals on the 30th at 5 pm and Finals on Sunday, the 31st followed by the prize giving ceremony at 7:30 pm and the traditional cocktail.

F Polo Team remporte la Côte d'Azur Cup...pour la deuxième année consécutive!

Après 10 jours de compétition, c'est finalement F Polo Team (Pakistan) qui remporte la Côte d'Azur Cup, pour la deuxième année consécutive après avoir déjà gagné ce trophée en 2007!
Ce match de finale, remarquablement mené, offre donc la 1ère place du podium à F Polo Team et la deuxième à l'équipe Black qui s'incline pour un score serré de 6 à 5!
A la troisième place: l'équipe locale de Saint-Tropez qui gagne le match face à Fun & Basics avec 5 contre 4 1/2.
Autant dire que les écarts n'étaient pas grands durant ce week-end de matchs au bon niveau (8/12 goals)!

After 10 days of competitions it is finally F Polo Team (Pakistan) who rewards the Côte d'Azur Cup for the second year after winning the same Cup in 2007!
This amazing final game between F Polo Team and Black was very close with a score of 6 to 5!
As well as the match of 3rd and 4th positions between Fun & Basics (score 4 1/2) and Saint-Tropez (score 5).

Côte d'Azur Cup, du 7 au 17 Août

La saison continue au Polo Club Saint-Tropez! Prochain rendez-vous: la Côte d'Azur Cup (8/12 goals), qui se déroule du 7 au 17 Août.
Encore de nombreuses équipes en compétition, telles Wasabi (Pays-Bas), F Polo Team (Pakistan), Black (Italie), Saint-Tropez (Allemagne), Fun & Basics (France), LGT (Royaume-Uni), Tres Maria/Santa Helena (Italie) et Haras De Gros Bec (Royaume-Uni).
Vous pouvez les retrouver, lors des matchs de qualifications, du 7 au 15 Août, à partir de 17h, et les soutenir Samedi 16 Août pour les Demi-Finales, à partir de 17h également. Ce même jour, à 21h, un Dîner sur réservation.
Enfin, les Finales très attendues du Dimanche 17 Août à partir de 17h, suivies de la Remise des Prix et d'un Cocktail à 19h30!

The season keeps going on at Polo Club Saint-Tropez! Next Tournament: the Côte d'Azur Cup (8/12 goals) from the 7th till the 17th of August.
Many teams again in competition as Wasabi (Netherlands), F Polo Team (Pakistan), Black (Italy), Saint-Tropez (Germany), Fun & Basics (France), LGT (UK), Tres Maria/Santa Helena (Italy) and Haras De Gros Bec (UK).
You can meet them during the qualification matches, from the 7th till the 15th, at 5 pm and support them on Saturday 16th of August for the Semi-Finals, at 5 pm too. The same day, at 9 pm, a Dinner (upon reservation).
And, of course, the important Finals on Sunday the 17th at 5 pm, followed by the price giving ceremony and a cocktail at 7:30 pm!

Beau Match pour les Frères Al Habtoor!

Le Polo Club Saint-Tropez a accueilli, le 1er Août, le Tournoi de Polo Al Habtoor.
Les frères Rashid et Mohammed Al Habtoor ont joué un match intéressant et de bon niveau (16 goals) avec des joueurs argentins professionnels réputés!
Le match s'est achevé par une victoire pour l'équipe de Mohammed Al Habtoor, pour un score de 7 à 6.
Après cela, tous les joueurs ont apprécié la cérémonie de remise des prix...et un excellent déjeuner!

The Polo Club Saint Tropez hosted on the 1st of August the Al Habtoor Polo Exhibition, Deutsche Bank.
The brothers Rashid and Mohammed Al Habtoor played an attractive 16 goals match with well known argentineans professionals.
The match ended with the victory of Mohammed’s team by 7 goals to 6.
After the match they all enjoyed the price giving ceremony...and an excellent lunch!
