Les nouveau patrons d'équipes qui ont joué pour l'Open du Soleil pendant la seconde moitié du mois de juillet étaient Jerome Wirth et Shahe Kalaidjian pour Enigma Sezz et Robert et Birger Strom pour Sainte Memse.
Les quatre équipes de niveau 12 goals se sont affrontées les unes après les autres pour les 2 premières places. A l'occasion d'une soirée spéciale, les joueurs étaient invités à défiler à cheval dans le village de Gassin et célébrer le tournoi en présence du Maire, le tout accompagné de vins locaux.
La lutte fut acharnée et Azur, ayant été le vainqueur du précédent tournoi, était l'équipe à battre. Enigma-Sezz a mené Azur jusqu'aux prolongations dans un match très serré. Mathieu Delfosse (4) a été le joueur d'Azur ayant marqué le plus de points avec trois but et Malcom Borwick pour Enigma-Sezz avec 2 buts à son actif. Cependant, le héro fut José Petracci (3) qui a marqué le but de la victoire pendant les prolongations, offrant ainsi la vistoire à Azur par 6 à 5. Sainte Memse et Enigma-Sezz ont joué un match très serré jusqu'au coup de sifflet final Borwick ayant marqué 4 buts et la combinaison père-fils Birger (1) et Robert (2) Strom ayant marqué 3 des 4 buts pour Sainte-Mesme. Enigma-Sezz les a vaincus par 5 à 4. Saint-Tropez avait invité dans sont équipe Tom Barrack, fondateur du nouveau polo club en Sardaigne, tout spécialement pour son match contre Sainte-Mesme. Sainte-Mesme l'emporta par 7 à 5.
Les demis finales ont désigné Azur contre Saint-Tropez et Sainte-Mesme contre Enigma-Sezz à l'issue desquelles ont été sélectionnées pour la finale Azur et Sainte Mesme qui ont gagné par 7 à 4. Robert Strom a marqué 4 buts pour Sainte Mesme et Sebastian Petracci 3 pour Azur.
L'équipe Azur de Christine Baer voulait réellement emporter 2 victoires consécutives, mais l'équipe Sainte Mesme de Birger Strom avait remporté l'Open du Soleil en 2008, les équipes avaient donc toutes 2 un enjeu personnel dans ce match de finale. Robert Strom (2) et Marcos Orocoroa (4) ont marqué 2 buts rapides d'entrée de jeu, pendant la 1ère chukker, et un autre lors de la 2nde mais Sebastian Petracci en a marqué 4 lors et Mathieu Delfosse 1 lors de la 2nde ce qui a amené le score à 5-3 à la mi-temps pour Azur. Robert Strom(2) s'est déchaîné lors de la 3ème chukker avec 3 buts rapidement marqués et 2 autres à la 4ème chukker suivi d'un but de Nordheimer (5). Sainte Memse concservent leur titre de vainqueur de l'Open du Soleil. Robert Strom fut le patron d'équipe ayant marqué le plus avec 15 buts à son actif tout au long du tournoi. L'équipe Enigma-Sezz de Jerome Wirth et Shahé Kalaidjian a gagné la coupe subsidiaire contre Saint-Tropez. La saison du Polo Club Saint-Tropez se terminera avec la Silver Cup et la Gold Cup, de niveau 15 goals.

New patrons for the second half of the month playing for the Open du Soleil were Jerome Wirth and Shahe Kalaidjian for the Enigma Sezz and Robert and Birger Strom of Sainte Memse. The four 12-goal teams played each other vying for the top two spots for the finals. For a special evening the players were invited to ride through the 15th century village of nearby Gassin and celebrate with the mayor the many local wineries.
Play was very competitive but Azur coming from the win in the Cote d’Azur was the team to beat. Enigma-Sezz took Azur into overtime in a very close match. Mathieu Delfosse(4) high scorer for Azur with 3 goals and Malcolm Borwick (6) with 2 goals, however, the hero was Jose Petracci (3) scoring the winning goal in overtime giving Azur the win 6 to 5. Sainte Memse and Enigma-Sezz had a close match going down to the final bell with Borwick scoring 4 goals and father-son combination, Birger(1) and Robert (2)Strom, scoring three of the four goals for St. Memse. Enigma-Sezz winning 5 to 4. Saint-Tropez had Tom Barrack, founder of the new polo club in Sardinia, as special playing guest for the game against Sainte Memse. The score was 7 – 5 Sainte Memse the winner.
The semi finals pitted Azur against St Tropez and Sainte Memse against Enigma Sezz both scores between the teams ended up with Azur and Sainte Memse winning 7-4. Robert Strom scoring 4 goals for Sainte Memse and Sebastian Petracci scoring three for Azur.
Christine Baer’s Azur definitely wanted to have back to back victories but Birger Strom’s Sainte Memse had won the Open du Soleil last year so each team had their game faces and ready to go. Robert Strom(2) and Marcos Orocoroa(4) scored 2 quick goals in the first chukker and another in the second but Sebastian Petracci scored 4 in the second and Matheiu Delfosse had one - at halftime score was 5 – 3 Azur. Robert Strom(2) was deadly in the third with 3 quick goals and 2 more in the fourth with Nordheimer(5) adding one - Sainte Memse retained their Open du Soleil title. Robert Strom was the leading high scoring patron with 15 goals for the series. Jerome Wirth and Shahe Kalaidjian’s Enigma Sezz won the subsidiary over Saint Tropez. The season at Polo Club Saint Tropez ends with the Silver and Gold Cup at 15 goals.

5 équipes de niveau 12 goals de handicap se sont retrouvées sur les terrain du Polo Club Saint-Tropez pour jouer au polo tout en profitant du soleil, des plages et des adorables villages Français qui font du Sud de la France une destination unique pour des vacances pleines de polo. Des patrons d'équipes venant de Suisse comme Christine BÄR et David AMAR, de Suède comme Kristian PETERSSON et son fils Viktor, du Pakistan comme Al Shair FIYAZ et d'Allemagne comme Corinne SCHULER er son fils Edouard, ont pris part au tournoi. Madame Schuler est propriétaire du Polo CLub Saint-Tropez depuis 11 ans et en a fait un endroit idéal pour les joueur et le public. La compétition fut acharnée lors de la finale le 16 août dernier.
Les sponsors du mois d'août au Polo CLub Saint-Tropez étaient les montres HUBLOT, l'eau AQUAPAX, l'agence immobilière JOHN TAYLOR, la plage privée CLUB 55 et les vêtements de sport VICOMTE A. (Paris - Palm Beach).
F Polo Team, menée par Justin Gaunt (4) qui remplaçait M. Fiyaz, a eu une saison très fructueuse avec Diego Braun(5), Werner Meier(0), et le petit nouveau de l'équipe Leroux Hendricks (3). L'équipe a mené tous ses patchs à la baguette. La partie qui a désigner leurs adveersaires pour la finale opposait l'équipe Azur de Christine Bär et l'équipe Villa a Sesta de Gualtiero Giori. Lors de la dernière phase de jeu, et pendant les prolongations, Mathieu Delfosse de l'équipe Azur a marqué le but de la victoire pour Azur: 9 à 5.
F Polo Team était la favorite mais Azur, grâce aux frère Petracci, José et Sebastian, étaient prêts à prendre le titre. Des buts de tous les côtés, Sébastien Petracci a pris le controle du jeu et a mené l'équipe d'Azur à la victoire avec 5 buts à son actif. Le score finale était de 7 à 4. Gualtiero Giori a été récompensé Patron d'équipe ayant marqué le plus de buts.

Five 12- goal teams came to the fields of Polo Club Saint-Tropez to enjoy the polo as well as the sunshine, beaches and the lovely French villages that make coming to the South of France in August a unique polo vacation . Patrons from Switzerland - Christine Baer and David Amar,Sweden - Kristian and son, Viktor Petersson, Pakistan – Al Shair Fiyaz and Germany - Corinne –Schuler and son, Edouard Benveniste-Schuler... Madame Schuler has been the owner of Polo Club Saint Tropez for 11 years and has made the Club very special for the players and public to enjoy. The competition was fierce for the playing for the finals on August 16th.
The sponsors for the month at Polo Club Saint Tropez were Hublot watch, Aquapax water, John Taylor Real Estate, the classic beach resort Club 55 and Vicomte A, sports wear out of Paris and Palm Beach.
The F Polo Team has had a very successful season for the Justin Gaunt managed foursome of Diego Braun(5), Werner Meier(0), replacing Fiyaz, Justin Gaunt (4), and new to the team Leroux Hendricks(3) took all of their games with authority .The game that decided the other finalists was between Christine Baer’s Azur team and Gualtiero Giori’s Villa a Sesta. Down to the last chukker and going into overtime, Azur’s Mathieu Delfosse scoring the winning goal for Azur – 9 to 5
F Polo Team was the favorite but Azur with the Petracci Brothers, Jose and Sebastian,was ready to take the title. Goals went back and forth and then Sebastian ¨Petracci took control of the game and went on to lead the Azur team to victory with 5 goals – the final score was 7 –4. Gualtiero Giori was leading patron scorer for the tournament.

Open de Gassin - du 16 au 26 juillet comptait 8 équipes de niveau 15 goals en competition pour le trophée du petit village français tant convoité. Les patrons d'équipes sont venus de partout dans le monde, y-compris Kristian Petersson de Suède, Geoff Palmer des Etat-Unis, Franck Dubarry de France, Al Shair Fiyaz du Pakistann Karen Brink de Monaco, Gualtiero Giori et Ricardo Tattoni d'Italie, Juan Luis Bravo d'Espagne, Dean Clark de Grande Bretagne, Alexis Paillol de France et Corinne Schuler d'Allemagne, qui est également la propriétaire du Polo Club Saint-Tropez. Toutes les équipes était divisée en poules de 4. Après quelques jours de jeu et de denmi-finales, F Polo Team et Saint-Tropez, portant le maillot du sponsor Maybach se sont affrontées lors de la finale.
Un match effréné qui fut très bataillé avec dans l'équipe d' F Polo Team Martin Espain (6), Diego Braun (5), Matias Nigoul (4) et Sebastien Decommer qui remplçait le Patron d'équipe Al Shair Fiyaz, qui ont été battus par l'équipe locale de Saint-Tropez composée de Corinne Schuler (0), Julian Lusarreta (4), Juan Martin Garcia Laborde (5) et Fransisco Irastorza (6). Score final 11 à 8.
Les joueurs ayant marqué le plus de buts pendant la finale étaient Irastorza avec 5 buts at Espain, le vaincu, avec 6 buts. Les patrons d'équipe ayant marqué le plus de buts au cours du tournoi étaient Geoff Palmer et Franck Dubarry deTechno polo. La Tradition du Polo Club Saint-Tropez veut également que chaque équipe soit récompensé sur le podium de remise des prix.
Chaque équipe a donc été récompensée de manière individuelle sur le podium je jour de la finale, ainsi que le meilleur poney sponsorisé par Vicomte A. et les partrons d'équipe ayant marqué de plus de buts qui ont reçu des articles de luxe offerts par Mme Claudia Pistarini. La Piramide, Maybach, Claudia Pistarini ainsi que la mairie de Gassin ont également offert des récompenses aux 8 équipes en compétition.

ALL TEAMS WERE DIVIDED INTO POOLS OF FOUR. AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF PLAY AND SEMI FINALS, F POLO TEAM AND SAINT TROPEZ WEARING THE JERSEYS OF TITLE SPONSOR MAYBACH MET EACH OTHER IN THE FINALS.

Rabarama est née à Rome en 1969. Fille d'un père artiste, douée d'un grand talent pour la sculpture depuis sa plus grande enfance.
Inscrite au Liceo Artistico à Trevise, ville d’Arts à coté de Venise, elle complète sa formation artistique chez l’Accademia di Belle Arti de Venise qu’elle quittera en 1991 après avoir obtenu son diplôme avec mention.
Elle commence tout de suite à participer à de nombreux Concours nationaux et internationaux qui lui valent un succès croissant auprès du public et parmi les critiques d’Art.
Actuellement elle vit et travaille à Padoue.
Rabarama est considérée par les critiques et par les collectionneurs les plus exigeants, comme une artiste reconnue et confirmée en Italie et dans le monde où elle est exposée régulièrement.
Sa production est vaste et complexe, en se diversifiant dans les sculptures en terre cuite, bronze peint, marbre de Carrare, verre, ou encore en peinture à l’huile, inclusions en résine, bijoux originaux et exclusifs en or, ou plus récemment en produisant des monotypes en silicone et des oeuvres graphiques.
Au cours de ces dernières années de nombreuses expositions se sont succédées au niveau international avec un très grand succès.
Rabarama, sculpteur, travaille sur la représentation du corps, sa dimension plastique et contemporaine. Ses personnages expriment l'essentiel de la condition humaine et de ses contradictions : les relations paradoxales qu'elle entretient entre la matière corporelle et physique et l'essence profonde de la méditation.

Chaque configuration est représentée par ses composants les plus intimes de sa structure cellulaire, en devenant ainsi un microcosme de soi-même.

Rabarama, alias Paola Epifani, was born in Rome in 1969.
The daughter of an artist, from her early childhood she showed an inborn talent for sculpture.
She started her artistic education at the Arts High School in Treviso, followed by the Venice Academy of Fine Arts. She graduated with top marks in 1991 and immediately started taking part in a large number of national and international sculpture competitions, earning growing acclaim with both the critics and the general public alike.
She currently lives and works in Padova.
Rabarama is considered an all-round artist by her critics and most demanding collectors, thanks to the steady flow of official recognition and awards she has received on the national and international art scene.
Her production is quite eclectic and varied and includes terracotta sculptures, painted bronze, pieces in marble and glass, oil paintings, resin inclusions, artistic gold jewels, recent rubber monotypes and graphic work.
In the past few years a large number of exhibitions have been organized to showcase her work and she has enjoyed international acclaim.
From March to October 2009, Saint-Tropez will be the venue for Rabarama dans le Presqu’île de Saint-Tropez.
